Event Description

The conference gathers global leaders in infectious diseases to meet, brainstorm and discuss the challenges and opportunities on seven topic areas, including antibiotic R&D, antimicrobial stewardship and infection control.

The panel discussion, What companies are doing to combat AMR and support appropriate use of anti-infective medicineswill include the following participants:

Gabrielle Breguelmans, Director of Research at the Foundation will also speak at the conference, joining a panel discussing how to improve manufacturing processes to curb antimicrobial resistance.

Jayasree K. Iyer and Gabrielle Breugelmans will draw on findings from the first ever comparison of pharmaceutical company actions to bring AMR under control - the Antimicrobial Resistance Benchmark, launched by the Access to Medicine Foundation in 2018. The 2nd edition of the Benchmark is due to be published in early 2020.
